Company Info

BroadbandNet Pty Ltd (BBNet) is a truly independent carrier that owns and operates it’s own IP network throughout Western Australia using a combination of state of the art technologies from a number of wireless manufacturers including Airspan and Motorola.

BroadbandNet have recently signed an agreement with Tuaropaki Trust launching the company into the National ISP arena. The exclusive satellite agreement with Tuaropaki has seen BroadbandNet to be one of only a few Carriers in Australia able to offer access to their own high speed wireless backbone network as well as the flexibility of deploying satellite services where their wireless network is not immediately available.

BroadbandNet is a local success story, starting out a few short years ago as a division of WestNet with a core activity to deliver quality broadband services to businesses that were unable to obtain cost effective DSL services in Perth and major regional areas.

Now a truly independent Wireless ISP, BroadbandNet's Managing Director Andrew Winterburn has maintained the business philosophy and methodology learnt during his years with WestNet and is determined to ensure BroadbandNet’s focus remains on Customer Service and Premium Service delivery.

Currently BroadbandNet have points of presence throughout the CBD and in regional West Australian covering the southern corridor from Albany and Bunbury, Eastern Wheat Belt from Toodyay, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and the North Midland areas from Wongan Hills to Mullewa and recently the Peel region including Boddington providing high speed wireless broadband faster than standard ADSL.  BroadbandNet has more than 190,000 sq kms of coverage on their own network and over 3,000 kms of wireless backbone throughout regional Western Australia. This coverage is growing daily with the BroadbandNet team dedicated to providing a true alternative network in the State.

Services are delivered over BroadbandNet’s own infrastructure, bringing true competition and competitive pricing to rural and regional communities.

BroadbandNet recently completed negotiations with Community Demand Aggregation brokers appointed under the Federal Government’s Demand Aggregation Brokerage Program. These negotiations have resulted in BroadbandNet being selected as a preferred supplier to deliver broadband services to over 65% of country WA. The awarding of preferred supplier status indicates BroadbandNet is heading in the right direction with the right priorities, this initiative will drive the extension of BroadbandNet’s existing infrastructure network.

BroadbandNet is set to become one of the largest independent Wireless ISPs in Australia delivering premium services and soon to launch their new and exciting Voice products.  High speed Internet and low cost voice calls with no telephone lines required.
